For 20 years we contracted on roofs across Central Otago — repairing, inspecting and maintaining homes in some of New Zealand's toughest weather. In every job we saw the same thing: the most dangerous part of cleaning a home isn't the cleaning. It's the climb.

Homeowners were balancing on ladders to clear gutters, wash high windows and treat mossy roofs — the exact tasks that send people to hospital every year. The tools to do it safely existed, but they were scattered and confusing.
